Tribe Swap

On Day 7, a tribe swap occurred. The castaways were sorted into new tribes via captains. The tribes were as followed:

Challenges

Immunity Challenge: Puzzling Matchups
The challenge had five different puzzke: 1. Hashi; 2. Pipes; 3. Word Search; 4. Tents and 5. Word Scramble. Each tribe had to assign one person to each puzzle. The three tribes with the fastest overall times would win Immunity.

Story

Day 7

After Ezekiel's blindside, the hosts announced a swap into 4 tribes of 5! The tribes would be divided by 4 captains, drafting their tribe among the 16 other non-captain players. The 4 captains were selected by Sam & Ezekiel as members of the Fallen. Sam chose Devin with his first pick and Grady as his second. Ezekiel chose Dior and Jon as his two picks. The captains led the following tribes: Devin with Taquile 2.0, Dior with Amantani 2.0, Grady with Pukara, and Jon with Iñakuyo. The captains drafted the following players in snake order:

The tribe divisions were as follows:

Taquile 2.0: Devin, Bliss, Ariana, Sebastián, and Zoey Amantani 2.0: Dior, Aaron, Taylor, Maple, and Arlie Pukara: Grady, Gameend, Raven, Jack, and Felipe Iñakuyo: Jon, Jayden, Pho, Amanda, and Andrew

As the tribes were either getting introduced or re-acquainted with one another, the next immunity challenge was announced: Puzzling Matchups! In this challenge, every member of the tribe had to complete a specific puzzle in the shortest amount of time. The 5 puzzles that were available were: Hashi, Pipes, Tents, a Word Search, and a Word Scramble. The tribes had to choose who was doing what. They chose the following:

Amantani 2.0: Dior - Pipes Aaron - Word Scramble Taylor - Tents Maple - Word Search Arlie - Hashi

Day 8

During the challenge, the tribes continued to socialize. Gameend and Raven were already on bad footing going into this season which did not smooth over right away on Pukara. Amantani 2.0 all knew each other pretty well and dreaded the possibility of Tribal Council, except Taylor who was open to throwing the challenge in order to save Raven & Zoey. On Iñakuyo, Amanda immediately felt the age difference between her and Neb's Kidnappers (Andrew, Jayden, and Pho). She felt like she was on the outs and wasn't the biggest fan of Jayden's admitted "Machiavellian" approach to Survivor. On Taquile 2.0, Zoey connected right away with Bliss, even her going as far as to tell Zoey that she was safe if Taquile went to Tribal Council. Sebastián on the other hand received no such assurances as he was busy with IRL university responsibilities and missed out on prime socializing time.

While all this was going on, Neb announced the way for players to find more Incan Sun Coins! Players, once a day, could explore the two countries bordering Lake Titicaca, Peru & Bolivia. They'd have to choose which country to visit, which city to visit, what city activity to do, and what item to bring along. On her first try, just a few hours after it was announced, Ariana went to Bolivia, visited the city of Sucre, went Alpaca Riding, and brought along a camera which was an exact combination for one of the Incan Sun Coins! This, along with Sam's coin, gave Ariana 2 total coins after she gave her original one to Gameend. Coincidentally, Bliss, who wasn't planning to work with Ariana & vice-versa, searched the exact same spot a little later and came up with no coin.

As the challenge continued, Amantani 2.0 banded together and dedicated themselves to help Arlie get their first challenge win in Main ORG. Their dedication paid off as they finished with the best tribe time overall! Taquile 2.0 finished in second with a good overall group effort from every member. Pukara finished a few minutes after Taquile 2.0 despite having the fastest time in 3 of the 5 puzzles with Grady, Jack, and Raven leading the way. Meanwhile, Iñakuyo really struggled. Jayden’s time on the Pipes puzzle was almost as much time as Pukara and Taquile 2.0 on all their puzzles. However, that was nothing compared to Jon’s time. Jon, the captain on Iñakuyo, took the Word Scramble and took over 5 hours to complete it after submitting a wrong guess the first time then leaving for multiple hours while his timer was still going. This sent Iñakuyo to Tribal where an original Taquile player would be eliminated for the first time this season. (edited)

During Tribal Council, Andrew felt nervous going in as he didn’t feel like he had made strong social connections with the rest of the tribe, Amanda was perplexed at how poorly their tribemates performed in the challenge, and Jayden & Pho were still upset at how poorly Jon did at the challenge. Jon went to work trying to save himself by offering up Andrew as a target to the other tribe members. While Andrew continued to panic, it was all for naught, and Jon was voted out unanimously with his lone vote going towards Andrew. As a member of the Fallen, Jon gave his Incan Sun Coin away to Devin and was asked to list 5 people that he wanted to see work together in the future. He chose in order: Devin, Bliss, Gameend, Maple, and Arlie.
