The Distance Learning Division at the University of Florida offers a multitude of online degree programs at all levels: bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate degrees. UF has offered distance education since 1919; the Division of Continuing Education (which houses online programs) was launched in 1976. In addition to degree programs, UF distance learning offers certificate and non-degree programs as well. The bachelor’s degree programs hold the same accreditation as residential programs, so students do not sacrifice standards by attending online. Students also have access to the same career placement services that residential students enjoy. The school’s post-graduate program list is extensive and includes programs from agriculture and arts to engineering and education to health/medical fields and journalism. UF distance learning also sponsors employees of specific companies to assist in career development.
