The distance education department oversees and administers non-traditional education at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College. Leveraging new and innovative approaches to instruction, RCCC offers students the flexibility to earn diplomas, certificates and degrees at their convenience. Multiple content delivery methods are used including internet and other web-based applications. A FAQ page including access to a self-assessment survey provides details about the mechanics of distance education and technical requirements. RCCC offers applied science degrees in business, criminal justice and medical office administration and associate’s degrees in arts, science and general education. Distance education students have dedicated resources and student support services including admissions, financial aid and enrollment, academic advising, tutoring, bookstore and library access, disability services and technical support. RCCC participates in the comprehensive articulation agreement making transfer into a University of North Carolina bachelor’s program smooth.
