The Dominican University of California was established in 1890. All undergraduate students participate in the Dominican Experience, a comprehensive plan built on four components of educational methods. The program includes working with an integrative coach, building a digital portfolio, engaging with the community, and completing signature work.

Dominican is highly recognized by many of the leading ranking systems like U.S. News and World Report, Wall Street Journal, Money Magazine, and the Princeton Review. They have regional accreditation with the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, and the Barowsky School of Business is widely respected for the quality and rigor of their programs.

Education

Bachelor’s of Arts in Business Administration or Leadership Management can be earned through the Barowsky School of Business. The Business Administration program allows students to choose a concentration in Financial Management, Accounting, Marketing and Sales, Management, or Global Business. Master’s are offered in Business Administration, Business Analytics, or MBA. Both levels of programs include study abroad opportunities that encourage students to expand their global business knowledge.

Student Life

The Dominican campus is located on 80 suburban acres in San Rafael but is only 12 miles from the Golden Gate Bridge. Students have a quiet and peaceful place to learn on-campus but have easy access to the city as well. San Rafael is a quaint city that offers many amenities like farmer’s markets, shopping, parks, museums, seasonal festivals, and more. This location is also ideal for students as they move towards completing their degree and finding a career. Top locations like Berkeley and San Francisco are just a short drive away.

There are many past times, both on and off-campus. Beautiful scenery of any type is close by, like the Redwood Forest, Point Reyes National Seashore, or Napa and Sonoma Valleys. For days when students choose to stay in, there are a variety of dining options, as well as a recreation center for keeping fit. The University sponsors 11 NCAA sports teams, an intercollegiate club team, and many intramural sports. There are also several support systems on campus to ensure that students’ holistic needs are met. These include counseling services, a student health center, CARE Team, integrative coaching, and the Center for Domestic Peace.

Online Programs

The MS in Business Analytics program at the Dominican University of California is a one-year intensive hybrid program. Students meet two Saturdays a month on-campus and two nights a week online. This blend of formats is ideal for busy individuals who need to delegate their time between responsibilities. A few of the courses within this relevant degree path are Programming for Data Analytics, Machine Learning for Business, Finance Analytics, and Optimization for Business Analytics.
