Education
The curriculum for the prestigious business programs is taught at an elevated level, with an emphasis on social responsibility. Business, International Business, Leadership in Hospitality and Event Management, and Marketing Communications are taught by skilled industry experts. Minors in Economics and Entrepreneurship complement these degrees well. Undergraduate students who are interested in furthering their studies can complete the accelerated Business/Management BA/MA in just five years.
The Master of Arts in Leadership and Management perfectly interweaves the art and science of being an effective leader in the new millennium. Students can prepare for their specific career goals with concentrations available in Healthcare Administration, Human Resource Management, Information Systems, Principled Leadership, and Project Management. All case studies used in class have been written by faculty members of the Society for Case Research. Graduate students have opportunities to partner with professors on research and present at conferences. An award up to $500 is available to assist with transportation and other conference-related expenses.
Student Life
The hard-working business students at NDMU realize that in order to graduate with polished resumes, they must actively engage in activities beyond the classroom. IMPRINT is a unique, four-year program built on four key pillars: Personal Leadership, Mentorship and Sponsorship, Global Awareness, and Teamwork and Communication. Students will gain the confidence to become the ultimate leader they can be. Membership in Delta Mu Delta Honor Society and the International Leadership Association make meaningful professional connections. Students consistently intern with the world’s leading business corporations, such as Black & Decker, Ernst & Young, Procter and Gamble, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and the Social Security Administration. These positions often result in lucrative full-time career offers.
Online Programs
Learning in a classroom isn’t for everyone; that’s why NDMU offers flexible online programs that are student-centered. The Bachelor of Arts in Business fuses lectures with hands-on assignments, such as case studies, consulting projects, and a culminating capstone course. A practicum is required of all students with less than two years of professional work experience. Students will also become pros at using Microsoft Office. The business core is 55 credit-hours, and students are able to pursue individual interests with the allotted six-credit hours of electives.
