Survivor: Tikal - The Age of the Maya is the thirty-sixth season of the Survivor ORG Wiki's Online Reality Game (ORG), Survivor: Wikia!

The season of consequences, Tikal's main theme throughout was the cause and effects choices players made throughout the game that was intertwined in both the twists and gameplay. The season had mixed reactions from the community due to it's slow start and slow final, but widely positively received because of the distinct twists, first-rate hosting, and fun diverse cast.

Twists

• Temple of Toj - After every reward challenge, the winning tribe will get to send two people, one from each tribe to the Temple of Toj. The two people chosen will then select one more person from the opposite tribe to them to also go, making it a total of four people at the temple at the same time. While away they are unable to make contact with their tribes, and only with the people at the Temple with them. While at the Temple, each of the four people sent will be faced with a twist known as the Butterfly Effect.

• Butterfly Effect - The Butterfly Effect were different choices that were offered to the castaways throughout the season that would have an impact on the game, thus the name implies being a butterfly effect.

• Back in Time - At the final 12, the castaways were introduced to a new twist called Back in Time which sent them all back in time to their original tribe divisions.

• Special Powers Idol - At the merge, the castaways were told that an idol with special powers would be hidden for them to find. The special powers idol was the Hidden Reset Idol that could be used after the votes were read at Tribal Council and would make any castaways who received votes safe, and a revote would occur and only the people who did not get votes would be eligible to be voted out.

• All underlined votes denote that they were not able to participate at Tribal Council, incurring themselves a "self-vote."

^1 Due to the odd number of players at the time of the tribe switch, Marie, the odd person out, was exiled to the Temple of Toj, and rejoined the game as a member of Vatanchu, replacing Grant and evening the tribes at 7-7.
^2 Felix used the vote stealing advantage, allowing him to cast a second vote by denying another player the right to vote for that Tribal Council. He chose to steal Christine's vote.
^3 John used a hidden immunity idol, negating 6 votes cast against him. Joanna was in possession of a light pearl, automatically negating one vote cast against her, which was coincidentally a self-vote.
^4 Claire used a hidden immunity idol on Michael, negating 5 votes cast against him.
^5 Michael used a hidden immunity idol, negating 3 votes cast against him.
^6 Claire was in possession of two light pearls, automatically negating two votes cast against her since it was the final time to use it. Marie used a hidden immunity idol, but negated zero votes. Christine used a hidden immunity idol, but negated zero votes.
^7 Marie was in possession of a black pearl, allowing her to give an automatic vote cast against someone of her choice, and she chose to use it on Claire.

Trivia

• This is the first two tribe season to have even genders and not be divided by sex.
  • It is also the fifth season overall to have even genders.
• This is the first even gendered season to have a male winner.
