Distance education at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania participates in SARA which oversees reciprocity across state lines for online degree programs. The distance education page offers a self-assessment survey to determine suitability of online learning as well as the technology requirements to participate in remote programs. BU offers individual courses online and full certificate and degree programs. Online master’s degree programs include instructional technology and nursing: RN-BSN; BU offers an online doctorate in nursing as well. BU uses proprietary technology in its curriculum and content delivery called BOLT (Bloomsburg Online Learning and Teaching) and articles and tutorials are available to familiarize on with the system. Student resources and support services for online student include standard assistance programs and appropriate database access; the career center is available also.
