Education
Undergraduate students can pursue a Bachelors in Accounting; Management Information Systems in Information Systems or Information Technology; Finance; Marketing; International Business; Human Resource Management; and Management in Energy Management, Entrepreneurship & Small Business Management; General Management; and Supply Chain Management. Graduate students can pursue a Masters in Business Administration that can be completed in one year full-time, or evenings only part-time. MBA concentrations include Information Systems, Professional Accountancy, Human Resource Management, Finance, Marketing, International Business, and Supply Chain Management. The Executive MBA can be completed half online and half on-campus. Take education a step further and obtain a Ph.D. in Business with specializations in Finance, Management, Entrepreneurship, Accounting, Human Resource Management, Marketing, International Business, Supply Chain Management, or Management Information Systems.
If students need financial help paying for their degree, incoming freshman and upperclassmen can apply for merit- and need-based scholarships. Graduate and Ph.D. students can participate in Graduate Assistantships and Employer Tuition Reimbursement. To extend education internationally, business students can take a study abroad trip during their college career. Some examples of the many opportunities are studying International Business in Spain, Argentina, and Ireland; European Business & Economics in Germany; or Marketing and Sustainable Business in Italy.
Student Life
Student organizations offer unparalleled opportunities to professionally prepare for a career through leadership and relationship building, networking, and service events. Business students benefit from groups like the CoB Student Advisory Council, Association for MIS, Future Entrepreneurs Club, Graduate Business Student Association, Accounting Association, International Business Association, Association for Operations Management, and Phi Beta Lambda.
For experiential learning opportunities, students can manage and oversee the Student Management Investment Portfolio, attend programs like the Finance Seminar and the Women’s Leadership Program, enjoy the Eberly Labs, Digital Production Studio, and the new Financial Trading Room with Bloomberg access and real-time news and financial data. Students can explore different careers, gain relevant hands-on experience, develop professional connections, and potentially find future employment through completing internships. Involvement with the business community is highly valued at Eberly.
Students can grow in knowledge and experience while serving the community through the Center for Family Business, Small Business Development Center, and the ExcEL Center: Excellence in Entrepreneurial Leadership. There is also the Small Business Institute, where students work with faculty members in providing consulting in the areas of marketing, finance, management, IT, and accounting for local businesses.
